Sous Chef: Nate Mercer
Nate Mercer, a native of Conway, South Carolina, began cooking in the hospitality oriented city of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, as a teenager. He had to adapt to high volume situations very quickly in order to keep up in those kitchens. He moved to the upstate of South Carolina in 2005 where he began working at The Piedmont Club in Spartanburg. That is where he learned he had a passion and talent for cooking food and wanted to pursue a career as a chef.
After gaining experience in several of Greenville's better restaurants, Nate has settled at Azia, and is proud to bring his experience to global fusion.
